Reporting sick
How do I report sick?
Sick reports via text message or WhatsApp are not accepted. An illness notification only applies when you have actually spoken to a Duty Manager or your supervisor. This way we can quickly find a replacement employee for you.
• Do you get sick during working hours? Sign out personally with your manager.
• If your direct manager is not available, please contact his replacement. If you report sick too late, you must arrange for a replacement yourself, otherwise you will receive an official warning.
Reporting illness in L1ndaAfter you have spoken to your manager, your manager will mark your illness report in L1nda as unproductive.
In your report of illness you provide information about:
• What the likely duration of the absence will be
• What the employer can do to help
• What telephone number you can be reached on and whether there is a nursing or residential address other than your own
• Whether there is a disability as a result of an industrial accident
• Current (work) agreements and activities
• Whether you fall under one of the safety net provisions of the Sickness Benefits Act (for example, being ill as a result of pregnancy or childbirth).

General information holiday for fixed hours contract
The employee's salary will continue to be paid during the holiday period.
The employee must be aware that vacation days must in principle be taken in the year in which they are accrued. Statutory vacation days that have not been taken expire six months after the calendar year in which they were accrued.
Where can I see how many vacation days I have?
Employees with fixed hours can use their Phocus Cloud account in the Nmbrs app (or on
https://connect.visma.com/) see how many vacation days they still have left. You will find this under the heading 'Leave'.
On-call workers do not accrue vacation days, but are paid directly with their salary.
The statutory leave expires within 6 months after the accrued year. In other words, your accrued vacation days from 2023 expire on July 1, 2024. So, remember to request vacation on time.

Holiday days for permanent employees are displayed in Phocus per year! If you have 160 vacation hours (20 days) per year, you accrue 13.33 vacation hours (1.66 days) per month.
Is your contract shorter than 1 year, for example 7 months? Please keep in mind that you will have fewer vacation days. You can easily calculate your vacation days using this tool:Hooray
Example 1: Employee 40 hours – 1 year contract – 20 vacation days
Jan will start employment on 01-03-2023, has a 1-year contract and he has 160 holiday hours per year (this is 13.33 holiday hours per month). This means that Jan will work 10 months this year.
In Phocus you will be able to see that you have the following number of vacation days, namely 10 months x 13.33 vacation hours = 133.33 vacation hours.
Example 2: Employee 40 hours – 7 months contract – 20 vacation days
Sam will also start employment on March 1, 2023, has a 7-month contract and he has 160 vacation hours per year (this is 13.33 vacation days per month). Phocus will display the vacation days as if the employee works for the whole of 2023, which means 10 months.
It seems as if Sam has the same vacation days as Jan, but Sam has fewer, namely 7 months x 13.33 vacation hours = 93.33 vacation hours.
This can be a bit confusing, if you have accidentally taken more vacation days, this will automatically be settled with the following year or with your salary.
How can I request vacation?
Fixed hours
You must request holiday leave via Phocus Cloud prior to booking (https://connect.visma.com/).
Your manager (or planning) will approve or disapprove this.
1. Go to Nmbrs > My Leave > Request Leave
2. Then click on Leave > Select the start and end dates.
Only after approval can a holiday be definitively booked. The holiday should preferably be submitted 4 weeks in advance. This way we can find a replacement for your absence in time. You can apply for leave later, but there is a higher chance that your request will be rejected. After approval, you must set yourself to unavailable > 'Holiday' in the L1nda personnel planning system.

What if my holiday request is refused?
The employer may also refuse your holiday if you have accrued too few holiday days. It is therefore good to know how many days off you have each year. You can find this in Nmbrs.
